We're proud of the fact that each and every Volunteer is treated as a valued colleague and a part of team WRC.
Our longest serving volunteer has been with us for just over 15 years but many of our volunteers give us a few months of their time and move onto other things. As long as you are passionate about wanting to make a positive difference to asylum seekers and refugees you will get a warm welcome from us.
Many of our ex-volunteers tell us that the experience they obtained whilst at WRC was invaluable.
One described it as “a very special time in my life”.
We provide a lot of support to our volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to learn and share new skills. You will be working with many different parts of the organisation in the delivery of our services. Many volunteers have developed their skills whilst at WRC enabling them to move on to paid employment.
At the Welsh Refugee Council we celebrate the invaluable contribution volunteers provide to our work.
In return for your valued contribution we can provide you with:
Our work takes us to the heart of the issues when claiming asylum in the UK and you could be part of a diverse team working alongside staff members.
